Aukland

Very jet lagged but Gwen couldn't sleep and went for a swim at 6:30.

Excellent breakfast, huge selection.

Sorted out seat allocations with Qantas and went up to the Waterfront at 11:30.

Had a walk round the Westfield Shopping Centre, bought an NZ SIM card and some postcards.

Too late for a Harbour Cruise, had Ice Creams in the sun, Gwen's was a Hokey Kokey which is an NZ speciality and Gwen is now addicted.

Went back to the hotel, had an early dinner in the Skycity Tower (ground floor) and had an early night.

Next day fairly refreshed, we did the 10:30 Harbour Cruise, very good, funniest bit was the tale of the widening of the Harbour Bridge, which was accomplished by clipping on 2 lanes each side to the deck and supports, this was done by a Japanese firm and are now known as the 'Nippon Klippons'.

Hopped back on to the Explorer bus, stopped off at the Parnell Rose Gardens, Museum, Parnell Village Shops and saw Eden Park, home to the All Blacks.

Back to the hotel to meet the Tour Rep. and Group and went to the viewing Platform for drinks and canapes.

Early night still feeling jet lagged.
